At the end of the season, the ºÚÁÏÍø head baseball coach for the past 17 seasons, Andy Rushing, decided to resign his baseball position. He ended his career with the Bulldogs by posting a 17-year ºÚÁÏÍø record of 580-362 (.617) and a 20-year career record of 664-460 (.591). He recorded 14 seasons with at least 30 wins, three seasons with at least 40 wins, and never posted a lossing record while at ºÚÁÏÍø. Rushing led ºÚÁÏÍø to three conference titles and five region tournament appearances.
